Zuffa's role

[edit]

Where does Zuffa come into place during this whole merger? Zuffa is the official parent company of Ultimate Fighting Championship, and owned by Endeavor. What will happen with the remaining assets part of Zuffa, which aren't part of the UFC? Afrique0512 (talk) 08:38, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm neither an MMA fan nor a wrestling fan, but I assume Zuffa will have no control over this new company, but will continue to be a subsidiary of Endeavor. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 14:34, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Merger vs. acquisition

[edit]

Every article I've seen about this has this listed as a merger of shares, not that Endeavor is acquiring WWE's shares. Perhaps a change of wording is due. Nswix (talk) 19:36, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Merging?

[edit]

The consensus majorly voted to "keep" the article, so why is the verdict to merge when majority editors voted keep in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Acquisition of WWE by Endeavor? I have nothing to say about the decision, its the admins choice but just wanted to pint out majority voted keep and the contents are so big and WP:Notable they won't fit a merged article imo and will just make WWE bigger than it already is. Anyway just my take on it, I respect the admins decision but request this be kindly taken into consideration. Dilbaggg (talk) 04:52, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The closing admin justified the reasoning in their comment. In short, the number of votes doesn't carry as much weight as the quality of votes. The mergers, according to the admin, had better points than the keepers. — Czello (music) 07:10, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well I guess it would just lead to the WWE article getting inflated and a lot of crucial information being omitted. Anyway hope what I said above is at least considered. Dilbaggg (talk) 05:56, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
