Ironclad cruisers and superscripts

[edit]

Upon adding the relevant Confederate ironclad cruisers, I realized I don't know a superscript symbol that would represent "seized" or "sold before commission." For instance, S usually indicates a single ship class (something that isn't particularly relevant here), while X usually indicates that a ship or class was never completed. So I'm open to suggestions for how to go about indicating that in a less clunky way than using Seized and Sold. In addition, there were apparently two ironclad screw corvettes that were built in France, seized, and subsequently sold to Peru (Georgia becoming Union, and Texas becoming America). I've kept them hidden on the template for the time being, along with the red-linked Alexandra and Caleb Cushing. Auguststorm1945 (talk) 02:45, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
