About RFC/U[edit]
2023 has not been HiLo48's first rodeo with ITN/C. Ten years or so ago, back when WP:RFC/U was still a thing, he was an active participant on ITN/C and was equally loud and uncivil (perhaps more so, I don't remember) about a supposed U.S.-centric systemic bias that existed on ITN/C and how he had never heard of these people/events in Australia and how we'd never do the same nominations for Aussies, etc.. His interactions were so unpleasant that it did eventually lead to an RFC/U about him (which he promptly blew off, again, with all-caps and exclamation points), and then later, a topic ban from ITN/C. It seems like he's back to his old behaviors, but then again, I was no saint back then either. Cheers, ⛵ WaltClipper -(talk) 18:44, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
- @WaltCip So he’s been throwing Aussie-related temper tantrums on Candidates for a decade now? Impressive, and yet so unimpressive. Hopefully, in 10 years time, I’ll be able to look back at my comments on ITN/C now and chuckle. Or maybe cringe. Perhaps both. Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 21:13, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

Non-free images of living people[edit]
Hi,
You have uploaded some non-free images of a living person. Almost all such images are not compliant with Wikipedia's guidelines for non-free content. In particular, it contravenes policy point 1 which covers replaceability. From the guidelines, "Non-free content should not be used when a freely licensed file that serves the same purpose can reasonably be expected to be uploaded, as is the case for almost all portraits of living people." Please don't upload any more non-free images of living people. They will just be deleted. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 01:48, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Bailey Zappe 2022 Patriots.jpg[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Bailey Zappe 2022 Patriots.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:16, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
Unsourced edits to BLPs[edit]
Hi! I undid an edit you made to Josh Pederson, adding his full name (here), as you did not include a citation for it and I did not see one supporting that edit in the article. Additionally, I've seen a few of your edits in passing and many do not include citations, especially on articles for biographies of living persons. Just from edits in your most recent 50 contributions, I found your edits to Brandon Aubrey, this edit to Cole Kmet, this edit to Paris Johnson Jr., and this edit to Mack Wilson. Please make sure you include sources when editing articles, especially BLPs. Thanks! Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:35, 7 July 2023 (UTC)

An article you recently created, Diego Fagot, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

- The tag filter on Special:NewPages and revision history pages can now be inverted. This allows hiding edits made by automated tools. (T334338)
- Special:BlockedExternalDomains is a new tool that allows easier blocking of plain domains (and their subdomains). This is more easily searchable and is faster for the software to use than the existing MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist. It does not support regex (for complex cases), URL path-matching, or the MediaWiki:Spam-whitelist. (T337431)

The article IV and the Strange Band has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Borderline notability, band has been active for a year and barely any critical notice in reliable sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Oaktree b (talk) 02:47, 3 September 2023 (UTC)

The article Fond My Mind has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No sources can be found that discuss the subject with significant coverage that are not self-published sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -BRAINULATOR9 (TALK) 01:13, 11 February 2024 (UTC)

Thanks, in reply[edit]
After a recent difficult edit to the Philip Galanes page, you replied with encouragement, and invited greater engagement with WP. Given the nature of the edit—it was not "prettifying", but to the contrary, called attention to longstanding issues of sourcing—it was an unusual WP editor response, and I wanted to express thanks to you for it. Your response was one of the most positive and encouraging signs I have seen here in a long time, in offering a thumbs-up to this academician, who with other colleagues and scholars wish to improve the encyclopedia by squarely facing issues as they are encountered. It is often hard to "call it like [we] see it", but we do so because that is what we were trained to do (when we are operate in the areas where we are SMEs). It is a reassuring experience—among the most reassuring in 20 yrs of editing here—that I have received. Cheers to you. 73.110.36.118 (talk) 16:34, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- @73.100.36.118: It is so nice to hear that and know that my messages have led those that have received them to good feelings. Hello, I'm Hameltion. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 18:09, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
