Shortcuts
Please review the AWB guide before making a request. Users are rarely approved unless they have either 250 non-automated mainspace edits or 500 total mainspace edits. You can check your non-automated contributions on XTools. Administrators are automatically approved and do not need to request access. For bots, you must first have a bot approval request approved, or in trial; link to your BRFA in the request.
This page is for requesting AWB Access for English Wikipedia only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.
If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage. If you will make many or fast automated edits using AWB, you may wish to use a separate (or bot) account for that purpose; first create the account, give it a userpage declaring it to be your alternate account, then make the request using your main account.

I would like to have autowikibrowser rights to speed up edits that are too slow when done manually. I work with {{infobox company}} articles and would like to use AWB for speeding up edits that would take way too long to edit manually. WiinterU 00:24, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I became aware of AWB on WikiProject Check Wikipedia while helping on fixing errors via Toolforge. I do have over 400 non-automated edits. I want to use AWB to continue my error fixing work more fast.

Hello. I am requesting autowikibrowser rights so that I can complete tedious edits, such as adding dozens of pages to the same category or adding navboxes to pages, more easily. It seems that AWB will help me with these tasks. I mostly work with New Zealand politics articles which are sometimes poorly categorised. I would like to request AWB rights to assist in correcting reference errors and stub sorting. Specific areas I would use AWB to focus on are the items populating Category:CS1 errors: periodical ignored, Category:CS1 errors: missing periodical, Category:CS1 errors: unsupported parameter.
