I have not seen any other redirect exist where number (work title) refers to that numbered version/installment of a published work like a movie or game. For example, 2 (Lemmings) does not exist for Lemmings 2: The Tribes, and 3 (Max Payne) does not exist for Max Payne 3. Suggesting a deletion in this case. • Keep per WP:CHEAP. They're strange, but there's really nothing else they could target.

Term is not mentioned on target page, and based on a quick google "agita" is some form of anxiety, not heartburn? Suggest redirecting to anxiety but I'm not familiar with the term first-hand so that might not be best. WPscatter t/c 20:35, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:

This was recreated in clear contravention of consensus at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 May 16#Crichy Crich. However, that's not exactly the language of WP:G4 (we need sufficiently identical), so here we are. "Crichy Crich" should only target a disambiguation if the term is ambiguous—it is not. Furthermore, I would argue that the entry for Crichy Crich be removed from the disambiguation page because WP:APOENTRIES requires notability for surname matches (same goes for the other people listed). -- Tavix (talk) 15:57, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete A one-sentence passing mention that appears to have been added to make a point is nowhere near sufficient for a redirect. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:59, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, I guess. Seems unduly astonishing even if the mention in Pikmin 2 can be sustained. The term turns up in a broad range of contexts so it's hard to guess what the user intent might be, but in all cases it's so tangential that any in-article mention is likely to be a bit forced. In particular it seems like waterwraith/water-wraith/water wraith is a not-too-uncommon translation of Each-uisge (e.g.), but I can't immediately find an RS for that either. Better to avoid the illusion of coverage here IMO. -- Visviva (talk) 22:13, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Valve attachment

Too generic for the target, there are many types of valve attachment, very few of which are for trombones. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 04:39, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguate (updated). Hi, I think you're talking about a valve, and indeed there are many types and they appear on many brass instruments. A valve attachment however, is a term for the valve plus the tubing loop attached to the bell section of a trombone. They are often called "F attachments" because on a B♭ tenor trombone they are pitched in F; however, on an alto trombone they are pitched in B♭, and on a contrabass trombone they can be in a bunch of keys. (Update: I moved the RfD to the redirect's Talk page; in the process hopefully I didn't break anything: apologies if I did... oh I see, maybe I shouldn't have done that; reverted) —Jon (talk) 05:10, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, I am referring to a valve. There are valve attachments in a wide variety of engineering applications, and valves are not only found on brass musical instruments. For that matter there are brass instruments with valves that are not musical, and this is not an encyclopedia only of musical terms. Try googling the term. The specific kind of valve attachment you mention does not appear on the first page of results for me, so is unlikely to be the primary meaning. There are valve attachments, which are auxiliary components including one or more valves of various kinds, for various applications, which are attached to larger units, and valve attachments which are auxiliary components attached to various kinds of valve. Valve attachments for trombones is a small subset of the possibilities. Cheers, · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 07:07, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, as in valve attachment. Fair enough, it seems that perhaps we need a disambiguation page instead — Jon (talk) 10:07, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as extremely ambiguous. A disam page isn't going to help here. Johnbod (talk) 17:50, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom and anon. On Wiktionary we would call this a sum-of-parts issue. Anyone could intend any combination of the numerous meanings of "valve" and "attachment", leading to far too many possibilities for a useful dab page. (I am given some pause by the fact that the uses of "valve attachment" currently on-wiki are limited to trombones and bicycles. That would seem to make for a pretty manageable dab page, if we could be confident those uses reflected most of the range of likely user intents. But I don't think we can.) -- Visviva (talk) 22:31, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
