Warn that uploading MP3s will fail[edit]

We read that, "Since then, the MP3 patents have expired and Wikimedia legal has given permission to allow uploading as needed by Wikimedia or its communities".

Be sure to mention that uploading MP3 files to Wikimedia Commons is still not allowed.

Else users will spend a lot of time creating files that can't be uploaded without conversion first. Alas, if only they knew earlier... Jidanni (talk) 03:38, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
