Factors contributing to the Russo-Ukrainian War
The 2014 pro-Russian unrest in Ukraine started in 2014, in the aftermath of the Revolution of Dignity.
After the Orange Revolution in 2004, Russia launched a decade-long effort to restore its political influence in Ukraine, by playing on existing domestic fault lines and undermining the central government.[1]
